What is Creating Our Best

Best Selves Create the Best Organizations

Creating Our Best is a transformational learning course that helps participants discover why they have experiences and patterns that don’t create their best selves or the full life they want.  The tag line “Best Selves Create the Best Organizations” means that all organizations are stopping short of their goals and objectives and the reason is always because the people in the organizations cannot be their best selves.  We are all stopped from being our best selves from many things that are unknown to us.  Our past painful experiences still influence our future.  The work in Creating Our Best helps us discover things that are stopping us.  It helps us discover the hidden things that are unknown to us and creates a different future that is aligned with who we really are.  


The work consists of 13 Sessions of transformational information.  With each session is homework at the end of the written material.  The homework is designed to help us reflect and get into action around things that have us stopped.  There is a coaching call for each homework session.  The homework is emailed to the coach before the call and the conversation is around learning regarding the material and experiences.  All of this is around the premise that it is not information that creates transformation, it’s experience.  Therefore, the homework is designed to create experiences that will begin to help us think differently and be different.  


The coaching is also done with the premise that “the answers you need already reside in you”.  The coach’s role is to ask good questions to help you discover your answers and encourage, affirm and challenge you in who you really are and who you can be.  


The goal of doing the work is to do something every day.  Some days that something may be only to reflect and wonder.  Some days it will be to journal.  Some days it will be to have some hard conversations.  Some days it will be to share with someone what you are learning and experiencing.  By the end of the course, participants will have developed greater self-awareness, overcome limiting patterns, and gained practical tools to create lasting personal and organizational change.  

So, the totality of the work is 13 transformative subjects, 25-30 minute coaching calls with two 30-minute Zoom video conferences to begin the work and end the journey.  A participant should allow for 3-5 hours per week to play full out.
